Armand Vallin, an old recluse, refuses to sell his house to a construction company building a housing project around his property. He is soon encased in concrete skyscrapers. Despite pressure from the company and his new neighbors, he stubbornly refuses to leave, stands his ground, and wins the eviction case against him. Despite his victory, he leaves for a house in the country and newfound peace and quiet. Until one day, the projects rise again.
