Shortly before the holidays, Laurent, a young, good-looking math teacher, is posted at Marie's school and takes rooms at her mother's. Marie is smitten! Unfortunately, one night she surprises her mother and Laurent in each other's arms and runs away.

Mister Julien grudgingly agrees to postpone his retirement. From then on, his life becomes chaos as his nephew's curiosity and his mistress' fickleness cause him no end of trouble.

A bunch of killers are on his trail, so Commander Bloch of the Israeli Secret Service hides out in the French Embassy in Lybia. But the airport personnel are on strike, and Augier gets stuck with the cumbersome baggage in a dangerous spot. This is only the beginning of an incredible trek across the Near East.

A thrilling gangster film spoof tinged with grim humor.
