Adapted from Rolf Hochhuth's novel, Andrzej Wadja's film is a vivid protest against all forms of intolerance.

The clash between the two strong tempered men and their irreconcilable policies is enhanced by Gérard Depardieu and Wojciech Pszoniak's remarkable performances.
