Angoulême, South-West France. September 1980. Teacher Gabrielle Delorme is a 40-year-old divorcee and mother of two children. Among her high-school students at the start of the new school year is Lucas Malzieu, aged 15. Despite being separated by so many years, a powerful attraction grows between the two. A passion that is as unexpected as it is irresistible, with the promise to save them from their own loneliness.
