Produced by Curiosa Films, "The Pot-Au-Feu" ranks in the top 5 French productions of 2024 in more than 16 countries and has passed the 1-million-euro mark at the box office in 3 countries (United States, Germany, and the Netherlands).

International Impact

Since its release on February 14 in the United States, the film distributed by IFC has exceeded 2.4 million euros ($2.6 million) in revenue and 245,000 tickets sold. These results place the film in the 3rd position among the biggest French successes in the United States over the last 10 years!

"The Pot-Au-Feu", which benefited from word-of-mouth and favorable press, attracting a wide audience, becomes the biggest success for a French film distributed by IFC, surpassing "Blue Is the Warmest Color" (released in 2013, $2.2M).

In Germany, "The Pot-Au-Feu" recorded 32,700 tickets sold in its first week, making it to the Top 10 of the national German box office. The film, released on February 8, 2024, by Weltkino is now approaching 150,000 tickets sold (equivalent to 1.4 million euros in box office revenue). It thus becomes the 3rd most significant success of the year for a French production.

In the Netherlands, the film distributed by Cherry Pickers has been a strong success with 109,500 tickets sold (equivalent to 1.09 million euros in box office revenue), placing it at the 2nd position in the Top 10 French productions of 2024, despite a release in December 2023!

Tran Anh Hung's film also enjoys success in the United Kingdom where it is distributed by Picturehouse. Released on February 16, 2024, "The Pot-Au-Feu" currently exceeds 80,000 tickets sold, which equates to 756,000 euros in box office revenue, and ranks number 1 among French productions of the year 2024 in the territory. It is rare for French films to exceed 500,000 euros at the British box office. These results allow it to rank as the 7th biggest French success in the United Kingdom over the last 10 years!

It is also worth noting that the film distributed by GAGA in Japan has more than 42,000 tickets sold and has been impressively enduring with 16 weeks in cinemas! In Hungary, distributed by Cirko, "The Pot-Au-Feu" registers 18,000 tickets sold, giving it the 4th place in the ranking of French productions of 2024. In a market that generally prefers comedies, this is a solid score for a French author film.
