At her mother's death, Grace, aged 14, decides to go back to Africa to find Gary, her geologist father, whom she has rarely seen since her parents' divorce. The relationship between these two oversensitive characters proves all the more difficult as a rescue mission separates them again. Caught in strong winds, Gary's plane crashes in the middle of the desert where he is taken prisoner by a gang of guerrillas hunting for diamonds... Realising the inadequacy of the rescuers, Grace sets out to look for her father, with Kadjiro, the family's former guide. Alone and unaware of the dangers, they go deep into the desert where Grace attempts to retrace the path that separates her from her father.
