A run-down chateau lost in a snowbound landscape. A strange family: Hugo a despotic country squire; Eleonore, his wife; Agathe, his aunt, a spinster who dwells in the past; Sebastien, Eleonore's brother, with whom she has a very ambiguous relationship; a senile old grandmother. All of them dressed as if they back in the 19th century. This is what the young student Frederic finds when he arrives to carry out his research on this renowned aristocratic family. Eleonore quickly lets him know that she is available...
