Robert Langlois, who still lives at home, falls in love with a charming young woman called Catherine. But having been fired from his internship at a solicitor's, he doesn't dare broach the subject of marriage with his parents. He fixes it so that they hire Catherine as a maid. Her employers are completely won over by Catherine and happy to bless her union with their son.
