So he goes back to France, but the minute he sets foot in the country, he is whisked into the frenzied whirlwind of the revolution. During his ramblings he finally finds his wife Charlotte. They immediately resume their old quarrels and end up by getting a divorce amid mayhem. An epic fresco pervaded with love and tenderness.
